Board of Selectmen · Meeting of August 3, 2026

OAKHAM — The Oakham Board of Selectmen voted to hire a retired Foxborough town clerk as interim town clerk through November 30 after Town Clerk Lynn Kelly's resignation left the office vacant ahead of the September primary. James Mullen, cited as having roughly 40 years of clerking experience, will work about five hours a week at $65 an hour. Executive Secretary Maribel LaRange said the office's $18,300 election budget and $19,548 salary line will likely need replenishing mid-year, calling it "really hard to try to attract someone for a 10-hour-a-week job." The board also appointed Dylan Roy as police officer through June 2027, conditionally named traffic constables Dominic Gianette and Cory Lemon, and heard that the town has formally objected to a pending Energy Facilities Siting Board certificate that would bypass local permitting entirely.

Members accepted resignations from Officer Ross Dudar and longtime custodian Christine Toomey.
