OAKHAM — The Oakham Board of Selectmen signed the warrant for an October 26 special town meeting covering five financial articles. Chair Michael Brunelle read the formal warrant language directing voters to convene at 7 p.m. at the Oakham Center School. Clerk Frederick Gehring moved "that we sign the five articles for the special committee meeting," and the board approved it unanimously by voice vote.

The warrant bundles a prior-article repurposing, unpaid prior-year bills, a state-budget shortfall, an emergency management grant account deficit, and a Finance Committee report on a possible Proposition 2½ override. No dollar figures were disclosed for any article. Town constable Lucy Tessnow signed the warrant for posting.

The entire meeting lasted about four minutes before the board adjourned at 9:04 a.m.
