Oakham Board of Health preps Sept. 15 hearing on Zovel Properties cease-and-desist order. Vice Chair Lucille A. DiLeo will conduct the hearing on the 358 Coldbrook Road enforcement case, which followed a Worcester Superior Court search warrant and a licensed site professional's report; attorney Aaron Lang of Foley Hoag is expected to represent Zovel Properties LLC.
The board set a podium and three-minute comment limit for public input. Separately, members voted unanimously to board up a broken garage-side window at a long-vacant 21 Coldbrook Road property tied to years of rodent complaints, calling the barn there "impossible" to secure. "There's a window from the garage that goes to the exterior," Vice Chair DiLeo said.
Resident Robert Kane also pitched a roughly $3,000 non-lethal beaver-management device for Farm Pond, backed by Beaver Institute matching grants.
