Oakham Conservation Commission continues both active hearings to new July dates after technical problems and a missing state permit number stall progress. The commission voted unanimously at its July 7 meeting to continue the Notice of Intent hearing for applicant Cara Peck's proposed single-family home on Robinson Road to July 21 and to continue the hearing for Moraga Storage LLC's proposed 180-megawatt Battery Energy Storage System at 358 Coldbrook Road to July 23, both at 6 p.m. Staff member Shawn Seeley reported that Moraga Storage's representative Brian Benito had initially preferred delaying to the August 4 regular meeting, but a public commenter noted that town counsel on both sides had agreed a July hearing was preferable, citing unspecified time-sensitive factors.

The commission acknowledged the Moraga Storage hearing could again be unproductive if the required Massachusetts DEP file number is not issued before July 23, and Seeley said he would contact the DEP to assess timing.
