Oakham Finance Committee Approves Two Budget Transfers, Votes to Print Annual Mailer

OAKHAM -- June 11, 2026, Oakham Finance Committee approves $6,044 in year-end transfers and greenlights hand-printed FY27 budget mailer. At its June 11 meeting, the three-member committee, Chair Corey Packard, Vin Piuci, and Claire Hendrick, unanimously approved transferring $5,000 from Website and IT Services to the Legal account and $1,044.57 from Veterans Benefits to Veterans Expenses to cover three outstanding bills; both transfers had prior Board of Selectmen sign-off. The committee confirmed a total proposed FY27 budget of $5,159,443.53 with a surplus of $3,007.47, approved the text of its annual resident mailer under the full committee's name rather than any individual member's, and voted to self-print roughly 800 copies over three evenings beginning June 14 after finding no funds for outside printing. In a disclosure under unanticipated business, Packard announced a personal matter would require him to leave the Finance Committee after Annual Town Meeting, a departure that will reduce the committee to two members until a replacement is seated.
