Oakham Board of Selectmen Unanimously Extends Highway Superintendent's Contract Through 2026

OAKHAM -- November 5, 2025, Oakham Board of Selectmen extends Highway Superintendent Patrick Matarosian's contract through June 30, 2026. The three-member board, Chair Karen Bergen, Vice Chair Jill Brunelle, and member Robert Apigoski, voted unanimously at a special November 5 morning session after a closed-door executive session under MGL Chapter 30B, Section 21(a)(2). No new terms were disclosed publicly. The board also previewed a November 24 public hearing at which two Skyline Drive residents will press their case for the town to plow their private subdivision road, with members signaling they intend to reiterate their written reasons for declining to accept the road and noting town counsel's advice that the board may legally plow one private road without plowing another by board vote alone, a distinction members acknowledged residents are likely to dispute.
